Resilience School-Based Services (RSBS)
Children who have experienced trauma, emotional or behavioral health challenges, or significant life stressors may experience difficulty functioning successfully within educational settings. Families navigating instability, housing insecurity, financial hardship, or other psychosocial stressors may also require additional support to help children maintain consistent engagement and progress in school environments. At REACH 907, we recognize that emotional well-being, behavioral regulation, and school functioning are closely connected.
Through Resilience School-Based Services (RSBS), REACH 907 provides medically necessary behavioral health services designed to support each child’s emotional, behavioral, and functional success within school and educational environments. Services are individualized based on clinical assessment, medical necessity, and the child’s treatment plan. Interventions may include development of coping skills, emotional regulation, social skills, executive functioning, behavioral support, care coordination, family support, and therapeutic skill-building related to improving functioning across home, school, and community settings.
When clinically appropriate and permitted within payer and program guidelines, services may be coordinated within educational environments, including collaboration with families, correspondence school programs, and educational teams such as Mat-Su Central, IDEA, and FOCUS, to support treatment goals and reduce barriers to functioning. Educational collaboration is intended to reinforce therapeutic objectives and support the child’s overall behavioral health treatment plan and is not intended to replace or provide standalone educational instruction, tutoring, or special education services.
REACH 907 utilizes evidence-informed assessments, screening tools, ongoing treatment planning, and progress monitoring to ensure services remain clinically appropriate, medically necessary, and focused on improving the child’s behavioral health functioning and overall resilience.
